I saw, heard and read about a lot of whiny celebrities during the last presidential campaign. I believe deeply that everyone, even celebrities, have the God-given right to free speech. The problem that I have with it is that most celebrities are famous for non-political reasons and yet they often use that fame as a political platform. This is something that ordinary people don't have access to. So I see all these famous people -- many of whom I have enjoyed and supported their work -- spewing their morally bankrupt, or nonsensical, ideologies and it just made me wish there was a list for people to be able to reference before they choose to go to the movies or buy a DVD or music, etc.
These liberal celebrities come out of their caves during election cycles but they also get triggered at different times throughout a given year for a variety of reasons. And again, I don't have a problem with them exercising their God-given right to free speech, but they need to realize that it may cost them a bit of fame or money when they alienate their fan-base.
My goal is to help ordinary people, like you and me, realize that they have a voice. I think we need to be extremely conscious of how we spend our money. Every single dollar we spend matters. Most people will go and see the new Avengers movie without even thinking about all of the many liberal/communist, America-hating celebrities involved in that movie. Heck, I love those movies too, but we need to understand that we are literally funding those actors to be able to promote their own liberal political agenda. We may not think our 20 dollars matters, but it very much does. When we go and spend money on those things it is as if we are paying these celebrities to feed us their ideologies. There is a direct correlation.
If everyone, liberals, conservatives and libertarians and all those in-between voted with their dollars, our commercial and political landscape would change drastically. I think many celebrities would focus on their art instead of politics.
